These are beautiful! I especially love the one with the Impala -- the white lines against the black are very striking. The last one is especially lovely too!
Thank you soooo much for volunteering to do the art for my story, honey! I really love these so much. The coloring in all the pieces is really striking - I know you weren't sure about it, but the cover is just beautiful. And the scene pieces capture the love between Sam and Dean so well. They suck me in and I get lost staring at them. Plus Dean's body language against the Impala is perfect! I just... guh! I don't have the words. Love you! :)
Oooh! Excellent illustrations! And such varied styles; I hardly know where to begin.
The expressions you chose for the cover are perfect for the story, and I love the way the light falls on the boys, Sammy's eyes in shadow and Dean... there's enough light there it's gotta hurt some. They're right there together, but not on the same page and that's perfect for varkelton's story.
Dean next to the Impala just about kills me. The emotion in him is so clear, the pain radiating out but still wrapped so tightly around him he can barely breathe. I love the scene in the story (I've read it ::coughs:: a few times now), and am very pleasantly surprised by how well you were able to capture it in this image. The Impala looks like you maybe started from a photograph. Did you? And did you for Dean too, or is he completely freehand? I'm surprising myself here, because I've been in love with your two final sketches for a couple of months now (did I mention that I'm one of varkelton's betas?), but I think this is my favorite illustration for the story. It's just so
