I happened to be looking thru old emails, and I had sent myself this fic over a year ago for later reading. I read it back then, but forgot to comment. Since I just read it again I wanted to remedy my earlier oversight.

I really enjoyed the story and thought you had a great handle on the characters. Methos is ever practical, and Duncan is honorable without being overbearingly so. I love AUs, and I feel like there aren't enough 'Methos and Duncan meet under different circumstances' AUs out there, so thanks very much for adding to it!

If you ever felt inspired, I'd definitely read a sequel of them encountering each other again after this. And I do wonder if Methos left his job with the Watchers now that he'd been outed to Joe, as it seems in this story as if he and Joe didn't know each other that well beforehand.

But either way, I enjoyed the story and just wanted to let you know that. Thanks for writing it.
