A more cheerful post

I had a perfectly lovely time at the SCA Arts and Sciences/Rapier Championships event this weekend. I started out more than a bit down, but that soon changed. The event was in a hotel right on the ocean beach and our room had a view over the dunes to the water, which was lovely. The only flaw was that W had to work until 8 pm, so I traveled with

that was a wonderful weekend. sad to have missed it. but the house is a disaster and dad had his 79th birthday pie on Sunday. rhubarb and I BURNED it! not bad enough you couldn't eat it but enough that it was hard to get out of the dish and the crimping around the top was BURNED!!!

I need help. I am going to loose my pie diva status if I don't make several more PERFECT pies. pick a weekend for tea and pie. and I will watch it like a hawk.

Yippee on the assisted living. I suspect once she gets there, she will love it and they will keep a pretty good eye on her too.
