One leg is crossed under her and Hiraikotsu, her giant boomerang, is laid across her lap--she's polishing it with a dirty scrap of cloth. Beside her is the sharp metal glint of her sword, just recently ( Read more... )

[Oh, Sango, you did not really just ask that, did you?]

I have room, you know.

[Yes, he did just invite you to come live in the crazy that is his house. Feel special.]

[Give her a second to try to use what you taught her, Riku.]

I...

[...damn. She really hates being alone, but--]

Mm... I really appreciate it, but I couldn't intrude like that.

It's not intruding if I invite you.

There's a room down stairs you can have. It's kind of small, but you won't have to deal with everyone upstairs.

[For, perhaps a little longer than in necessary he just stares at what Sango's up to, head finally tipping enough that he almost falls over.]

If it's you, it's fine.

[Favoritism? :T]

As long as you can find some sort of metal to melt down--or I could make something out of the bones of some of the creatures in the Wastes. That might be better; stronger than metal.

[Sokka first notes the GIANT weapon, familiar in shape but definitely not in size. Idly, he wonders how anyone can throw it.] Nice boomerang. [He's kind of shooting everything straight from the hip right now, though, so he moves on pretty quickly, sorry.]

[In an all-business tone] I've got some experience with metal working, too. I'd like to make a proposition: my services for the use of your forge. I can help out with any repairs you might have and I'd only require the place a couple hours in the evenings when you're not busy with it.

Ah--thanks. [Poor kid; just lost his sister, right?]

It's not really mine--I just found it. You're free to use it anyhow.

Thanks. I'd like to help out, too. We could work together or on different shifts -- whatever works best for you.

Yes, actually; not the best equipment, but it works.

Nobody does know how. People leave as they arrive: without warning and against their will.

[She frowns, worried that this could happen to someone she knows.]

Does anyone ever come back?
