Quick tip that got me used to my tablet alot faster. Cut a sheet of paper to the dimensions of the tablet's writable area and tape it to the tablet. Makes the pen 'grip' the tablet so you don't get that slippery feel. Feels just like sketching on paper to me and the pressure sensitivity loss is minimal if not nonexistent. Eventually when the paper wore out I removed it and was able to use the tablet easily without it.
Of course anything on my dA is free for you to color. I usually keep my inked pieces in scraps. Or you could request something simple and I'll try my best.
yay! congrats on the tablet! have fun with it and hope to see more art from you soon. :) (you can use stuff from my da page, but please link me to them!)
Awwwww!!!! You got the Bamboo?!?!?! You should've saved up more cash to get the Intuos! That Bamboo is basically the updated version of my Graphire (POS).
It takes time gettin' used to. I remember it took me abut 6 months to get used to it. Too bad you got a small tablet. I think 6x8 is a comfortable size, since that's what I started with. Feel free to take some of my scraps from my DA. Just so long as you credit me for the original drawin' and put a direct link to the pic.
