Oooh, thanks for those links - going right into my memories! I'm responsible for my department's special needs students, and have just been trying to read up on autism, as we get quite a few student each year that are somewhere within this spectrum, and it is quite a bit harder to understand (well, a lot more varied, I'd guess) than dyslexia, no matter how frustrating that can be.
Good on your for trying. Autism is hard to understand because every child on the spectrum is so different! I'll find you some more links, feel free to ask anytime.
Hey you. Well, here's a quick start http://www.autismspeaks.org/community/resources/spanish.php but I can find you more. You're the best. I think I already sent you the instructional video on autism and libraries? There are some best-selling autism books that are probably available in spanish, I'll check. When I get my fundraising together I'll let you know. *hugs*
Oh, that's good, thanks! I think we may have the first one, but I know we don't have the second one. For some reason we got a bunch of Spanish materials on Asperger's, but not so much on anything else in the spectrum.
I remember you told me about the video, but you didn't send me a physical copy of it - was it an online link? *searches memory* *is sleepy* Let me think about it again in the morning and hopefully I'll remember.
You are the captainy-est Cap'n who ever captained.
You know, it always disgusts me how some people act about other people's kids (and I'm not even a parent). Unless you're in that mother's shoes, the one who is trying desperately to calm down her small child, you really have no right to judge the situation. I've never had to deal with autism really, so I don't have an idea of how challenging it is, but I admire the people who do it without being judgmental and love them as they deserve. I'm always interested in reading on it, especially with how it's rising, because I never know if I'm going to encounter someone who is autistic or even have a child who is. I think it does our society a lot of good to stay informed. Thanks for the info :)

Hey, do you know where to get good materials on autism in Spanish? Either books for parents or books for kids, books for daycare providers, etc.
