I'm going, and I definitely will want to party since that's pretty much all I'll be there for! (I can't even decide whether or not to register for the conference.)

It's expensive. But it is good to go--you get to hear the latest buzzwords, and they usually have workshops and things for job-seekers.

Conference whore that I am, my dance card is filling up! I think I have dinner plans with my panel on Saturday night, and maybe another thing with my editor on another night. I have a couple of pep-talk meetings with grad students, but I definitely want to set aside some time for actual fun.

In that case, I think you should pick the night that's best for you and we'll make it happen.

We're there, and free every evening except the 27th.

I'm going. I don't know my schedule super well yet -- I think that I have a home department thing on Monday night, but they haven't announced anything certain as to the date.

In another few days, though, I hope to have more solid scheduling, and it'd be lovely to see my Other Coasters!

Okay. So the 27th is out for Wombat. The 28th is out for me. And Syrena has got stuff on the 29th. Heh. I KNEW this would happen.

Maybe dinner is too ambitious? Can we shoot for a happy hour drink or two? Syrena, would you be amenable to a glass of wine before your thing on Monday?

Ah! I just got the email today that the Monday thing is a drinks and munchies thing (the economy strikes even the home department shindig). So I should be done by 7 on Monday.

Oooh! Sad about the economy, but happy that it means more Syrena-time.

So then it looks like Monday might work for everyone?
