I wondered if someone would use the prompt this way! I tried to persuade that an incompetent mortarer would be a viable approach, which he did not buy. You'd need enough background to pull off the math angle, and you definitely did it here.

This way, I can see how the formulas actually work, and hopefully figure out whether the problem lies in the formulas or in the numbers themselves.

What a great use of the prompt -- the day from hell! No one leaves you alone, and you can't solve the problem, and then there's a fire drill. I really enjoyed this.
