Explosive

"What do you need right now?" I say, calmly, staring at the face on the monitor with tears welling in her eyes. That's my default question when I don't know what else to say, which happens rather frequently.

Her answer is one she's given before at similar moments. "Be angry with me." Though I've heard her say this before, I still don't ( Read more... )

For the crowd:

copyright1983 and I have done an unofficial accidental intersection this week! Which is what happens when two contestants brainstorm together and then don't talk about their entries for several days and someone (ok, likely me) forgets that they said they were going to take a bye until they've been thinking about the entry all week and think they can make a good one, by which time the other person has already written his and then gone to work.

Either way, my entry is here:

and it tells more of the backstory, although as we didn't mean to intersect, they very much should stand alone.

I really enjoyed reading this intersection, however it came about.

And, from someone who has issues with her own father (he does not get angry, exactly, but he is very set in his ways and when something is not the way he thinks is right, there comes nasty language), - I hope you learn to work around yours...
