Unofficial Poll Thread: What to Pursue?

Someone mentioned, in my goodbye thread, that I should try to get some of my work from this season published somewhere. I'm liking this idea, but the question is, which ones? And where?

Here is a link to all of my pieces from the current season. I don't want to hassle with setting up a poll, but which pieces should I try to publish/expand upon/ ( Read more... )

This is totally unhelpful, but I'm tracking this because I want to know too. Good luck!

That was gonna be my suggestion! Dangit!

Also, check out my "writing" tag, I'll try to link it later, but I asked this same question and was given some helpful advice.

Personally, I'm going to submit a couple of mine to the state writer's association short story contest. :)

Amazon.com
Publishing in the kindle format is FREE.
The company they work with for paper backs is mostly free. If you do not use anything more then the basic service all you pay for is your proof copy.

I think the following might be good ones to start with:

Life finds a way
The final curtain
Speak softly
Question/Answer (your best piece of the season, I think)
The battle
Who are you?
Confessions

Some of these seem like a really good germ of a story, but they may need expanding on if you're taking them further. eg. what happens before or after the action, how do the characters handle it, etc. Try writing them up to proper short story length (ie make them quite a bit longer). But they are all stories where I wanted to know more :-)

Just one person's opinion, of course, but I think you should start with those :-)
