One of the bad guys built a room with several large microwave emitters in the wall. Here, let me quote you the most awesome bit:

As the humming noise hit fever-pitch, his little brother's chest just burst open, his whole rib cage blurting outward in a disgusting spray of blood and gore.

Well, there's build-up and stuff too, but I didn't want to type out five pages. Also, the book is sort of written in a way to make boys go, "Whoa, cool!" if that makes sense.

:( Sorry to hear you're homesick. *hugs*

I'm glad you enjoyed Scarecrow, though! I love love love this book and it's great to pimp it out to someone else. :) It is more fun than Area 7, and it probably stands alone better too (although A7 does have a brief sidetrip into space - no, seriously - which is hard to beat).

Seriously, at one point a guy gets microwaved to death, it's awesome.
Trufax! I love all the implausible deaths.

Thank you. I was going to say I wasn't homesick anymore because I was home, except then I got called to work. But it's not so bad because it is very busy work.

Oooooh, space sidetrip. That does sound seriously awesome.
