This is lovely. The line I feel like I should know this city evokes that sense of restlessness and wandering and the desire for home, but home is not so much in the domestic details of jars and lids and even cigarette smoke, but in the people we love and we drive long hours in the night for.
Oh, Nance. Thank-you so much. You are the sweetest, truly, you are. I feel so guilty for such a late reply, but your comment has made me so happy, thank-you so much! ♥
Illuminated, your reflexion trades secrets with ghosts. Like a late summer evening, drenched in bleeding purples, Over a promise that will not be kept, tender silence. Vetoing my dreams' no-man's-land, Eternity against the sinking ivory of your skin, is fading. I'd give you my heart, but it has chosen otherwise; That truth you shine, it cannot bear.
Or, just to cut to the chase and skip the humiliating (and alcohol-induced blabbering) i loved this. Mel!
Darling, I simply cannot - why are you even reading my poetry, yours is so infinitely superior! Thank-you so much for your kind words, I am legit beaming like a madwoman right now. ♥
Urgghhhh, I feel so ashamed of this... BPesque pollution. When under the influence everything seems like a good idea you know? The only reason why I didn't delete it immediately was because it served as a good example of what not to do in the future... Your mind is a beautiful, beautiful place. Stendhal-syndrome inducing. ♥♥.
Ahahaha oh love, don't ever say that, everything you say will always mean a lot to me ♥ I hope you are holding out alright, and that Med is being good to you!
