Oh wow, this is amazing. I love how the whole thing was put together, bits and pieces of the story from different perspectives.

thank you! haha the different perspectives seemed like a good idea at first, then no so much, but I'm glad the end result was okay :)

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! There was so much hurt and love and joy in this. I thought I would be furious with Uther, but I felt for him, but I especially felt for Gwen who had to be the memory keeper. You did an exceptional job of translating the movie to this 'verse without copy-pasting. Kudos!

(first of all, I kind of want to headdesk all over the place as I realize that I originally forgot to post a massive chunk of part 3 and how strangely it might have read otherwise D:)

that aside, thank you for your kind words! It seems like you totally got out of it what I wanted to get across and that makes me very, very happy :)

I am SO impressed by this - how you took the idea and made it both your own and a partner to the canon that they are, and made it work so honestly that it almost tore me apart to read it.

What a painful, real and human message this is - about loss and regret and why dealing with grief is so, SO important, and deny it, locking it away and pretending it doesn't exist, is so wrong and futile.

There are so many layers to this, and each one works so well. I love how you structured it, even down to the little play and rewind symbols, that made it so easy to follow the track of this story. It was polished and moving, and I'm just a little bit devastated.

A wonderful read, and a wonderful piece of story telling.

this comment gave me hearts in my eyes, just so you know.

I think the question of coping with grief is an interesting and complicated one and I kind of wish I had more time and space to play with it. Still, it's very fulfilling to know that you were able to connect with the story I tried to tell, and thank you for leaving such a heartfelt response.

I don't know anything about the movie, but I think you have done a marvelous adaptation. The characterizations are perfect, and the horrible domino effect of the breakdowns are actually very reminiscent of the show - a train wreck of good intentions that just can't be stopped.

This was a really compelling read- just AWESOME.

thanks so much ♥

I'm glad the characters came through because they really are all just a big domino effect of good intentions gone wrong, aren't they

if you ever have the opportunity, I would recommend watching the movie. It's a bit chaotic but a gorgeous work of art nonetheless.
