Does anyone know what legal rights to obtain medical records grandchildren may have over their (deceased) grandparent's records? This would be for the state of Iowa...

Thanks much.

In Iowa, you do not have the right to get a deceased person’s medical
records just because you are a close relative of theirs. You have the right to get a deceased person’s medical records from an Iowa health care provider if you are the personal representative of the deceased person's estate (such as the executor or administrator).

Since HIPAA was passed this is the rule in most states.
