I'm leaning towards abject horror, unless they can find those who did the voices for the original series then i'd be happy. If they plan on making Shia's character like Spike's from the original series that wouldn't be so bad. But still leaning towards horror.

Unlike most similar posts about sci-fi shows I know nothing about - I at least watched Transformers when I was a kid and loved it. I've seen lame ass attempts at the cartoon lately so I'm sure the movie version will be too digitized and modern-looking. It will ruin the whole thing if the voices aren't all screechy too.

hm... I think it'll either have to pay complete homage to the shows from back in the day, or will have to completely be its own thing... either way I dunno if it can live up to our childhood memories.

I optimistic now but slightly reserved. That was until they confirmed Voight along with Bernie Mac?! In case you don't believe me cause I almost didn't here is the article.

"Josh Duhamel and Bernie Mac are now officially set to join Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight and John Turturro in Michael Bay's live-action Transformers: The Movie, which begins shooting this month, Variety reported."
It's in the sci-fi wire section of the site.
