So, last night, I was driving home from an enjoyable dinner with Lady Consilvio and badasslytherin, and, thanks to an enabled scan button, happened to here the phrase "able to leap tall buildings in a single bound" come piping through my car speakers.  Needless to say, my attention was caught and I lingered on 90.9 fm to see what the deal was. It turns out that ( Read more... )

I vaguely rememebr a Mrs Serani... we had Mrs. Lynch. I talked to my roomie sabralii about her, I guess she is retired and the last time she came in to sub the teacher wound up re-teaching everything she covered. It explains a lot about why chem and physics kicked all our butts.

I took physics with Mrs. Lynch. I think the words energy and rest were used. Other than that, physics with Mrs. Lynch was a lot like her study periods. Do you think NDA would take me back so that I could retake physics?

While it is true that spider-man did snap Gwen's neck when catching her that is not what killed her. The Green Goblin had actually killed Gwen before throwing her off the bridge.

That was the arguement up for debate. Green Goblin did originally taunt Spidey by saying "No one could survive a fall from that height," taking full credit for Gwen's demise. However, the actual physics prove that a fall from any height is not fatal - it's impact at the end, or, in this case the force of Spidey's webbing, that causes death - otherwise skydiving, in itself, would be a conspiracy. When Kakalios sent his letter to Wizard, DC, wanting to be physically accurate, incorporated this into the plot and had Green Goblin admit that, while he did throw her off the bridge, it was Spidey who inevitably killed her (to be safe, they were both to blame). Kakalios said (and I'm paraphrasing), "If I can teach a homicidal sociopath the rules of physics, then there's hope for the rest of my students."
