1. That mood icon thing is whacked. I need to change it.
2. If anyone who might have friended me has any information or opinions on international coverage on the war in Iraq, I'm doing a paper. Rant at me! I beg you!

Yes, I have, in fact the bbc was one of the main sources I decided to analyze. I kind of meant, well, I do this for a living, or will. I kind of thought it might help to get some of the average person's opinion. I know so many people here who think the NYTimes is way too republican or way too liberal and both sides always have lists a mile long of why they think that. I can look at these papers, but I don't live in the countries that they cover, I can't learn all the jargon in two weeks, etc. *shrug* I thought I'd throw it out there, see if I could put some life in something I'm blocked on with the human report.

I don't know if any of my opinions are average, but I live in Canada. I have the added bonus of being American and living here.

How's that working out? I'm a Yank, too (Boston area) and I'm moving to Kitchener, Ontario at the end of the month. It's more for love than politics, but still, I can't say I'm crying about the timing of it all.

Solidkz was stationed in Iraq and has some interesting Al Jazeera stories. Zeyad is an Iraqi dentist who runs an English-language weblog, and has links to several more Iraqi blogs in English, from a variety of perspectives. On the UN front, there's a new blog devoted solely to tracking the recent allegations of massive kickbacks and embezzling from the Oil-For-Food program.

ginmar is stationed in Iraq right now; she's an MP, I believe. Her LJ is very much from a working-class, feminist perspective; check it out if you get the chance.
