My weekend, let me show you it

Feb 10, 2008 16:01

I loved this weekend in that the most exciting thing that happened was the fire alarm brouhaha of Friday night. Aside from that, though, and aside from the fact that I went in to work for a while this morning, this weekend has been made of mellow win ( Read more... )

You know, I think it would help my motivation tremendously to have a hot guy to stare at while I exercised. Particularly one who cooperatively took off his shirt. My YMCA is sadly lacking.

Half naked hot guy bending over in front of you is always a good motivator.

*DOLPHIN NOISES* End of Days omgomgomgomg.

Um, BBCAmerica is one week behind, I think? I got Meat of DL if you want it, and if you want the three intervening Who episodes betw s.1 and s. 2 Torchwood, I'll get them to you.

Jack, Jack, you magnificent BASTARD. And, oh, IANTO you beautiful beautiful boy. ♥

Um, also. Watch the first kiss of ultimate awesomeness in Cyberwoman, again and again and again. B/c um hi, damn. Jack. Stroking. Ianto's. Throat. *incoherent Allie*

*dolphin noises abound* I'm fixing to start episode 12 and then End of Days is after that, yes? Is there some point in the series where there is more overt explanation of Jack/Ianto as a thing (aside from subtext)? I'm guessing something must happen in episode 12 or 13, because otherwise I don't see how they got to the kiss in To the Last Man - that kiss was a little beyond fuck buddies.

Oh yes! I do want the three intervening episodes, if it helps me understand what happened better.

I do ned to go back and watch that kiss, because I totally missed the throat stroking. Last night I did show B and S isolated other scenes - the one of Owen with Gwen up against a tree in Countrycide, and the scene of Jack teaching Gwen how to shoot, because damn. So that helped them develop the Torchwood love, too.

Sadly, there really isn't. It's like "flirt flirt okay they're fucking okay Ianto's madly in love okay Jack's allowing himself to love as much as he knows how ( ... )

You rock - and at least that tells me there is something out there to explain the deepening of that relationship.

Comparing first season to second season, I agree - second season seems more character driven and really interesting because of all of the explicit and implicit dynamics.

Huh. I've got BBCA up here, and Meat was last night, I think? I haven't watched it yet--I'll have to check the DVR. I know I'm a week behind the folks in Britain, but I can't think why you'd be a further week behind me. Weird.

That's so weird, because on Thursday I did a search to find all of the episodes and I don't have Meat 'til next weekend - Saturday - at the earliest.

*gets off lazy butt, checks DVR* Oh. No, you're right--I've got To The Last Man waiting for me, not Meat. I'm all confused, clearly. So, yeah--we're a week behind the Brits.

Which is OK for me--for the most part I can avoid spoilers, and honestly, Torchwood is more about the crack characters than fine points of plot for me, so it doesn't ruin it for me if I get spoiled, the way it did for, say, Buffy. *g*

I am seriously considering buying S1 of Torchwood & I totally blame you. And the wine, of course. *g*

It's worth it. *nods* There are some dog episodes, but the ability to rewatch the Kisses of Ultimate Awesomeness are well worth the money. :D

EPHT being miffed about the lack of proper attention and being topless was certainly the highlight of my day and made the punishing workout worth the pain. It was a great workout though wasn't it? My legs aren't too happy today but I'm glad we got in a great session.

Torchwood marathon soon, yes? I'm dying to see more!

G;ad you enjoyed your facial baby, it was a long time coming since the last one. *mwah*

Torchwood marathon as soon as we can schedule it. I could do it Friday or Sunday night but that's about it until we get back from New Orleans.

Thank you again for the facial!
