Went to the screening and reception for "Friday Night Lights" at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences this evening, along with
azewewish,
without_me, and
aproposofnothin. Ended up front row for the screening -- they screened the episode "Crossing the Line." Had a fabulous time, and since I have to be up real early in the morning, here are the bulleted highlights:(
This got longer than expected )

I've only been to Austin once, but I really enjoyed the city then.

I live next to NYC and they have a MTR there too - Damn, why can't they do something there?!!!
I'm so happy that you got to talk with Zach since I've read accounts that he doesn't really hang around to talk with fans.
I have a crush on Billy Riggins as well, and I'm glad he will get a girlfriend this year. And Kyle Chandler....well, he just rocks my world. Does he talk with a Southern accent or is it just the character?
Many thanks again for posting.

He's from Georgia originally (and Connie Britton is from Virginia) so I think it's easy for him to tap into his Southern roots!

I did not realize Zach was not known for chatting -- we spoke with him for 10 or 15 minutes before we exited the conversation. It's funny, because he stuck around longer than a lot of the stars on Tuesday night -- hell, I think he might have been one of the only ones left when we left, and he was still going strong talking to a couple who had joined our conversation when we took our leave.
I agree, it will be nice to see more of Billy on the show.
And yes, Kyle talks with a Southern accent, and it's quite charming. He's the only actor that I managed to speak with at both panels, and he was lovely both times.
