If you're trying to go for a "manly" name, I don't think Ezra is the one. It took me aaaages to remember where I had heard that name (which reminds me of Erza from Fairy Tail haha)... Jewish scribe, just doesn't seem so manly. It reminds me of Wolowitz from the Big Bang Theory lol.

Basil on the other hand means KING! (Kings have nice collar bones and don't wander around in public with their shirts off >_> xD)

I knew who Ezra was (remember I had to do bible studies? :P) and I still love that name to bits but I did not know Basil meant 'King'.
