Someone posed a question over at Val McDermid's message board regarding junior crime books, and several people recommended "The Three Investigators". Wow, I had totally forgotten about those books. Ooooh .. I loved The Three Investigators, especially the original versions. I had a few of them at home. I remeber reading some version that came out laterwith other authors, where they made Bob wear contact lenses and suddenly become the pretty boy of the group. Ah .. I loved Armada paerbacks.

Reading was always my ultimate childhood escape and the library was my second home.

Heh, I was totally book-greedy, too.
Mmm, I love the smell of libraries.
It brings back so many good memories.

Wow. I missed those. I'll have to hit the library and see if they have any.

I used to read Nancy Drew all the time (and a few Hardy Boys, but they were boring). And Encyclopedia Brown. I got really bored when I read through all of them in my elementary school library - there wasn't anything else interesting left to read after that until I got to middle school.
