Ah, look it's Christmas in Mayfield. Isn't that just lovely? All the snow and lights, just like a perfect picture. A time for family and friends. I like Christmas, it's a nice human holiday, all about peace and joy and goodwill to everyone.

However, Christmas is a time when everyone needs to be on the look out for danger. Why? Because things ( Read more... )

Save the world this, thank me later that. If you're too immodest an evil spirit will come to possess you.

It's only the truth! Just a bit of credit where credit is due.

Good to know someone here is well-versed in the ways of holiday catastrophes. Not that it will do us much good, but perhaps you can keep the masses from becoming more idiotic than usual.

Perhaps too well-versed.

Well, humans do tend to be stupid, though I like to think that Christmas is a time when they can be at their best.

If by at their best you mean somehow more insufferable than usual, then I completely agree. Were you here last Christmas?

Maybe it's both.

No, I was dealing with the whole "giant Cyberking stomping on London" thing. What happened?

Aliens? On Christmas?

[Theta just laughs at first, the sound sharp and cold, but very amused. The smile shows through in her voice, and though it's cheerful, there's also a harsh edge under it. She doesn't hold any malice towards the Doctor (in fact she'd rather like to get on his good side), but she can't entirely hide that she's not as nice and cheerful as she's trying to be.]

Well, thank you very much, simply in the name of human society, though I doubt you are from the same world as myself.

I would like for Christmas, though...something that you could give me easily. And the presents would be equally exchanged...?

Well, I've saved some other worlds, once or twice, but who's not to say everything is connected, hm?

There are lot's of things to give but only a few things that will mean something, that's the difficulty about Christmas.

Oh? You know how to travel between worlds? [Trolling plans abandoned. This is serious.]

The best gifts are immaterial...

Planets, yes, and through the dimension of the time vortex, but I'm really supposed to stay within my own dimensional plane. Gets a bit dangerous otherwise.

Oh yes, yes, of course.

Smoke bombs and kunai!

Well, I see the fun in smoke bombs, but what are kunai good for?

They're multipurpose tools! Ninjas use them for lots of different things!

What else aside from the obvious "killing" aspect? Can't say I'm too fond of that part.
