I moved! Why? Because I'm in Los Angeles.

Yes, I moved to the "Ghetto". I call it the "Ghetto", but  actually it's a bad part part of town, and I'm ranting a bit here. Yes, I'm sure it's not a real Ghetto, but compared to what I've experienced before in my life, it's a bad part of town. Although some of my friends from Pasadena, consider it as close enough to the Ghetto. It's about 7-10  ( Read more... )

Where are you living and what school are you attending? Cos I live here in L.A. and it's nowhere near that bad.

Let me know...

I'm going to USC, and I live off West 23rd and Union, about 3 blocks north of S. Harbor & west Adams. Actually I heard most of the times not to go out at night by my roomates and other people at USC. Where do you live in LA?

I'm in Santa Monica, dear, West Side... I looked in the map and the closest thing that "safer" would be Mid-Wilshire. Any chances of moving there?

I don't have a car, it died on my way back to TX last March (see previous blog if curious). So I plan on places near USC, and with bus routes aviable. Mid Wilshire, is actually closer to downtown, but thank you for looking that up for me. I appericate your concern, it does make me feel better. West side of Santa Monica, that's a good area, close to the beach, and promonate street if I am correct? I went to the Santa Monica beach on Labour day, it was so packed! The bus ride was 1.5 hours, but I thought it was worth it to see the beach.

Glad you at least have the campus cruiser to take you home after dark. I was worried about that. I still think you should try to find somewhere else maybe once you get a job.

Seriously! My problem is more tranportation related. If I had a car, i could afford to find another area, because i could drive to school or to the train station. Then again I refuse to take the bus after 10.30pm, beacuse I feel itr's not safe to walk the 2 blocks from the bus stop to my complex alone. So I have campus cruiser on speed dail, and I plan to always be home when they are on route. I will actually stay late on campus, until they open jsut to get a safe trip back home.
