"I was a good little lawyer and finished something I thought was going to take until tomorrow." It was entirely possible this was not his best work. He didn't mind, much. Not this time.
"...You're not expecting any babies to orb in here, right?" He wasn't prepared for infants. Kids he could do. Once they were moving and talking they were fun. Babies were mysterious creatures.
"No, I'm not. At least I hope not. I wouldn't want Chris and Summer to worry," Piper said, thinking about that. "And I'm glad you got whatever it was finished already. So now I get to spend my night off with you."
She still didn't really know much or she was heavily in denial about what went on at that law firm.
