Piper thought it would be a good idea to make breakfast this morning for anyone who wanted it. That didn't really include strangers wandering in unannounced like the woman who was suddenly there watching her cook.
Despite getting over the perpetual need to use the fire escapes to avoid Piper, Anders wasn't exactly going out of his way to be sociable . . . but today was a good excuse, and he fled down to the kitchen -- ostensibly in search of food, but more just to avoid Seraphim and Valkyrie, who creeped him out more than a little in human form. (It had been traumatizing the first time, and now while not so traumatizing was still not fun.)

"This is Kit," Piper explained. "She decided to be human today."

Kit shrugged. "I am not even sure why I'm human. Piper still needs me as her familiar, as far as I know."

"What's cooking?" he asked.

Kit sort of made a hissing sound at Bel. Piper, rolling her eyes, said, "Kit! You know Bel's a good demon."
"It was instinctive," Kit said a bit sheepishly.

"Magic," Kit added. "Probably."

"Oh, no, not you too."

"Want an omelet?" Piper asked him. Yeah, things were still a bit awkward, but she wasn't going to deny anyone food that she cooked.

"Well, that sounds like fun to me," Kit added, flashing another grin at Anders.
