Piper noticed she had a message waiting for her. After listening to it, she just stared at her phone for a very long time. She wondered if Lana was joking about this. But then she remembered that this was Fandom where anything can happen.

Her sister was a mermaid?! Piper was flailing. A lot.

Lana didn't think she'd ever run so hard in her life. And between the heat and the panic, she wasn't in the best of shape when she finally reached Piper's room. "Oh, please let her be in here!"

She knocked on the door, then bent over at the waist, trying desperately to catch her breath.

Piper opened the door, not surprised to find Lana there. "Hi Lana. My sister's a mermaid?!"

Lana nodded, still trying to catch her breath. "Down at Selkie Cove. In the water now. Safer. Asked me to get you."

Her face was red and her hair disheveled, having fallen out of its twist on the frantic run here. She tried to push it off her face, but didn't quite have the coordination to manage that. "Spell went wrong."

"A spell. Of course," Piper mumbled, motioning Lana in. "Why don't you sit down, relax for a minute, and tell me what exactly happened. Do you need anything? Water or something?"
