Veronica walked out of her room, intending on making coffee before class. She didn't sleep well last night because there was too much on her mind. The guilt of keeping secrets from Logan was starting to take its toll.

She stopped when she saw Piper. They hadn't really talked since all the stuff with Bel went down and Veronica wasn't sure if Piper was mad at her like Phoebe was.

"Hey," she said casually, moving to the coffee maker.

"Hey," Piper replied, smiling slightly. "I feel like we haven't talked in ages."

"Yeah, things have been kind of busy," Veronica agreed with a small smile of her own. "What's new?" she asked as she finished measuring out the coffee and turned on the coffee pot.

"Apparently there's some new evidence about the attack?" Piper said, getting right to the point. "I heard about it on the radio."
