oops! Forgot to mention that you add the shredded carrots to the water when you add the bag of rice!

Do you think that would also work with potatoes instead of the rice? I was thinking of trying something like that but I'm not too sure about it.

I've actually done it with potatoes, but when I do it that way I dice the potatoes and add some broccoli. I would also add some salt and butter whele boiling.

Mmmmmm that sounds good. I love squash but the only recipe i have for the casserole is from the 50s and involves saltines and worcestershire sauce, and is not yummy. I will so have to try yours. Mmmm.

I love the combination of cream of celery soup and squash (along with everything else). It sounds delicious!

It's had rave reviews. The soup really adds a lot to the overall flavour and texture (so do the rice and cheese)
