Tri-tip sandwiches

Hello all! I am looking for some advice on how to cook tri-tip from sandwiches. Normally I would grill it but my new apartment has some very strict rules on that and I haven't gotten an electric grill yet. I have the recipe that I want to use but I was hoping for some advice on how to actually cook the meat ( Read more... )

Thank you so much for that recipe! I made it today and like you said on the original post it was really hard not to over eat. The meat was so tender and juicy and I've never had it turn out that good on the grill. Thank you so much again! :D

Assuming you have a broiler in your oven, you can pretty much do everything with that as with a grill, except that the heat's coming from above. Also, any sauces, cheeses, and seasonings can be "seared" into/onto the meat without the heat source touching it. In the case of tri-tip, you can cover it with barbecue sauce and get a nice char on top, and not have to clean burnt-on sauce off a grill.

I'm not sure if we have a broiler. I'll have to try this with other meats though if we do. Thank you for the advice!
