thinly sliced chicken, turkey, or roast beef on wheat bread with mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. That's it.
I can't trust my husband to make this because he'll "improve" it with pickles or onion or whatever else he finds in the fridge. If I want a sandwich with all the trimmings, those are all fine additions. But the very plain sandwich is something I have to make myself.

I've never even tasted pimiento cheese but have been seeing it pop up on a lot of restaurant menus this past year or so. I'll have to see why.

You HAVE to try pimento cheese! Delicious. I love piling it in an oven-safe dish and broiling it to use as a dip, too. Oh man.

I love all kinds of sammiches, but my fave is a baguette or ciabatta loaded with prosciutto, marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red pepper, provolone, and sprouts. Lots of yummy tastes and textures!
