Kale? And a bonus question!

My boyfriend picked up greens for our bearded dragon on his way home from work today, and came home with a large bag of kale on accident. Since that's not all that great of a green for a dragon, I have a little over a half a bag left! I've never eaten kale before and have no idea what to do with it - suggestions ( Read more... )

for kale, i steam it then add a bit of garlic sea salt.

I sauteed it with in olive oil with garlic and salt - while I overdid it with the seasoning a bit (I was afraid it was going to be gross and was overcompensating! lol), it turned out great, and I really liked it. Would definitely eat it again, and I'm happy that it can be made so easily. This is my first leafy green that I've ever actually enjoyed. :D

Chop it up, toss it in a little olive oil and spread it out on a baking sheet. Bake at 375 until it's crispy.

google apples and greens from jamba juice recipe...uses kale and tastes amazing!!!!

I've made kale lasagna. I used kale in place of some of the pasta layers, and made some roasted butternut squash with ricotta cheese to be filling, then I did a sage bechemel sauce rather than tomato. It turned out delicious. Loosely based on this recipe and one other that has disappeared into the internet.

That salad looks pretty good. A lot of work for a salad, but still tasty and probably worth the effort on some occasions. :D Thank you!
