I overcooked brownies a little and now they are kind of dry and rubbery.

Is there a way to salvage them?

How about forking them all over and pouring sweetened condensed milk over them? Or would that end up being disgusting. :(

help: what went wrong?, dessert: blondies/brownies, help: cooking method, help: how to, help: is it edible

worst case scenario, cut them into big chunks and dump a bunch of ice cream and hot fudge on top. :)

Conversely: take a page from Pee Wee Herman and use the brownies as croutons for Ice Cream Soup.

Trifle is always my emergency plan B. Like, I get a flat tire and I'm like, "TRIFLE TIME." (Okay, almost always.)

last time I made brownie cake I dumped a load of whipped cream on top of them and let them soak for a little while. It was NOMMEH.

(brownie cake instead of moist, juicy brownies... just to clarify!)

If you want to "poke" them, I would recommend using cream of coconut and letting it soak into them. Less sweet than condensed milk, with the added benefit of coconutty goodness.
