When buying your starter yogurt, it's also best to look for yogurt that is as fresh as possible (ie: check the 'best by' date).

I like to add chopped up apples, a touch of apple pie spices and sweeten with maple syrup and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs. :D Voila, Apple Pie Yogurt. :D

LOL why right now my dear. :)

Apple Pie Ala Yogurt
1 c. homemade yogurt
I apple , peeled and minced and dipped in lemon water to prevent browning.
1/4 tsp. apple pie spice ( to taste )
1 pinch salt
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. butter
1 graham cracker , crushed.

Drain apple pieces and place in a small sauce pan. Sprinkle with apple pie spice and salt. Add maple syrup and a tsp. butter and sweat the apples over med. low heat until softened about 20 min. Remove from pan with a slotted spoon and let cool. Taste apples and adjust sweetness and spices as needed. Turn heat up and reduce any juices in the pan to a thickened syrup. Stir apples into yogurt and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs. Drizzle with cider syrup.

Add ins: pears, raisins, sweetened dried cranberries, pecans or walnuts.

Note: while you can just throw everything in raw, cooking it makes it really taste like apple pie.

Oh gosh. PLEASE tell me you will so we can do it at the same time. I've always wanted to cook in heels (although I was thinking more about a Julia Child-style set of pearls to go with it--corsets work too). I almost laughed out loud in my office, fantastic work!

Blueberry Blast Yogurt

1 c. homemade yogurt
1 graham cracker, crushed

2 cups Blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/3 cup Sugar
3 tablespoons Cornstarch
2 tablespoons blueberry juice
1/4 teaspoon Vanilla or almond extract

In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and juice well and set aside.
Pour remaining ingredients into a medium saucepan and set heat to medium.
Once blueberries and sugar begin to warm up, add cornstarch mixture.
Stir constantly until filling thickens significantly but blueberries retain much of their shape.
Set aside and cool completely. Stir a couple tbsp. into cup of yogurt and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs.
