Gorgeous dessert. Just went searching for something else, ran across this post so and had to comment. The only Indian desserts I've ever made are besan (chickepea flour) burfi, gulab jamun and rasgulla. I've never made carrot cake but would like to try that and this dessert one day.

Great, good luck! I must say, I'm not at all a fan of Indian desserts. But this one I really do like. It's completely worth making.
