World of Warcraft Chili

Sep 12, 2012 01:32

One day I was running around in Tanaris and met up with a warrior, the two of us bonded while opening up a serious case of whoop ass on the water thieves and he shared this Chili recipe with me.  It is a wonderful meal on a cold winter night.  Throw it all in the crockpot and raid night dinner is covered. :)

It is very tasty and so easy to make. And if you need more just double the ingredients except for the Taco seasoning. That is plenty until you start to triple. I like serving this with fresh homemade bread or crackers as well. And it is wonderful served over rice or better yet cornbread! :D . (good way to stretch it further. )

Enjoy

I've been more of a lurker in this community thus far, and I just wanted to come out of the shadows to thank you for taking the time to share this!

As a long-time WoW player and a die-hard food buff (no pun intended), it's so nice to see people who share in more than one common interest with me.

This recipe sounds delicious, and my husband is a HUGE fan of chili. As soon as I go grocery shopping, I'll be sure to pick up the ingredients for it.

Hopefully there will be more posts like this in the future, as soon as I saw "World of Warcraft" in the title I got all excited and had to see what it was all about.

Thanks again!

I got all excited and thought this was going to be a recipe that included things like mild spices, sparkling oasis water and toughened flesh. Then I thought "Wait, why would I want to eat that??" Followed immediately by "WAIT, WHAT WOULD MY BUFF BE. MAYBE IT'S WORTH IT."

Yeah, it's good that I quit when I did.

It gives ya the Happy Family buff which allows you to raid for hours without youngins gnawing on your ankles and spouses whining in yer ears. It also increases Stamina. :D

Ah, yes. The Tanaris water thief missions. Those were so much fun. Between Tanaris and Stranglethorn I managed to get the maximum level of hatred possible from that one pirate faction (haven't played for so long I can't remember the name now).

You know- I often pondered gathering all the recipes from WoW and trying to create real-world analogs of them. How cool would that be?

Quite possibly. I would be surprised if I were the only person to have thought of it.

Out of curiosity--I'm afraid I don't play that game--could the above chili recipe be described in terms of ingredients available in the WoW universe?

That sounds yummy! And while I'm not a WOW player, we do host gaming weekends every once in a while. In fact, I was looking for easy recipes for next weekend when we're having people over for the release of Borderlands 2, so thanks for the timely recipe!
