Hmm. This actually makes me think of an easier version of lasagna. Excellent!

Thanks. I'll have to give this a try since I've been on a tear trying to make the perfect simple mac & cheese. Most recipes call for a roux blanc. I think I'm not cooking it enough to get out the starch - it still tastes a little pasty, but I'm close.
