Baked with rice in broth? Layer the meatballs into a deep dish, cover with chicken broth and add uncooked rice. Stick into the oven covered with foil till both rice and meatballs are done :)

That sounds really good. Especially for a busy day.

Just wanted to say:

Another Dill allergy! Yay! I thought I was the only one. So far that's the only allergy I seem to have, although avocado does upset my stomach if I eat too much of it.

What reaction do they have?

Its always nice to know you aren't the only one. :)

In our house, meatballs tend to get chucked in a tomato sauce (a couple of cans of tomatoes, either whole or chopped, it doesn't matter) and a carton of passata on top of the usual fried onion and garlic, celery if we have some that needs using up, and lots of fresh herbs (sage and rosemary and any marjoram/oregano, basil, etc that may be to hand). I can also totally recommend adding a good couple of teaspoons of Marmite and a tablespoon or so of gooseberry jam. The gooseberry just transforms the flavour from 'hmm' to 'ooh!' - and it's certainly a talking point!
