Are you allowed to bring in homemade treats? At every daycare/preschool i've worked at/kids attended, parents were not allowed to bring in homemade treats, store bought only. And they had to be allergy friendly.

Yup, she goes to an unlicensed in-home daycare, with no allergy kids. I brought homemade last year and she was fine with it.

That's good!

In that case, I would go with cookies. Cookies never fail, and they are easy. My sister makes these spiral sugar cookies, that take no time to bake.

And my girls LOVE them. I'll see if i can find the recipe really fast. (You're supposed to chill them for a day, but you can get around that by putting them in the freezer for 20 mins before you slice them.)

Rice Crispy treats - if you feel ambitious, you can use a cookie cutter to cut them into fun shapes.

Here's a neat one for pops: http://www.snackpicks.com/en_US/holidays-and-occasions/summer/kid-summer-party-treats.html

Another quick, fun one is "Fairy Cake" (look it up).

For healthy, I used to love my Mom's blueberry drop biscuits (made from pancake batter, I think).

Fruit on a stick (with marshmallows) could be fun, but I'm not sure about the stick with toddlers unless there is a safe alternative.

And if you can get out of that co-worker party, u should. You're only human!

Thanks for the ideas!

I wish I could get out of the party, but we're a small (10 person total) close knit group, soooo I have to stick around 3 hours after I get done working waiting for the party to start. Oh well.

I don't know if this would be a treat for the kids, or is already a routine snack- but watermelon is in season, and delicious. It's pretty healthy, too. If you want to be fancy, you can cut slices and could cut shapes out of the slices with cookie cutters (like stars...). This might also help with portions, making it easy for little hands to hold, and not having to bring a knife into a daycare center....

If it's definite that no one has any allergy, you could take celery with peanut butter or pimento cheese on it, or apples and peanut butter.
