And I decided to make it on Friday with the leftover turkey. So I think I will go with a non rice starch with the turkey because my mother is not a big fan of rice. But thank you for the recipes. I always love recipes.
It seems a shame not to do something as a vehicle for the gravy, since turkey gravy is so very delicious- but it's good for hot turkey sandwiches, too, so...What about strata, or buttered noodles, or even floury (boiled) potatoes?
I love Trader Joe's multi grain baking mix. Next time you make pancakes with it, soak some dried cranberries overnight in a tablespoon or so of Grand Marnier and then add the hydrated cranberries to your pancake batter right before you make the pancakes. I did this yesterday and it was so delicious.

I would use an oven instead. The freezer would be far slower than a slow cooker, and you could end up with freezer burning.
