I have a lb of ground moose meat in my freezer. What would you suggest as the best way to use it to keep the yummy flavor? Since I just have this one lb I want to make sure it goes to something spectacular.

Meatballs? Burgers?

help: idea feedback, meat: exotic

First off, JEALOUS. It's what I am. D:

We always made sausages with our moose, but you don't have enough, so maybe just some sausage patties...

Or why not a good old fashioned meatloaf? Instead of plain ketchup on top, use 1 teaspoon dry mustard, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 1/4 cup ketchup.

shepherd's pie, meatloaf, or Krautburgers are all good. Finely shred half a head of cabbage and chop an onion, mix with meat and and egg, salt and pepper, roll out bread dough very thin to wrap them in.
I like to make a meat pie with game, diced onions, potatoes and parsnips too.

I've been trying to get a resource for moose for years. We have a Carnivores Feast each spring with tons of exotic meats. Problem I don't have a hunter friend. Any suggestions?
