Popcorn balls!

My mom didn't make them, so, there was something always sort of exotic about them.

Popcorn balls, for sure. My mom made them only around Halloween and I would get so excited that time of year.
Caramel apples are a close second, though.

it is never too early to talk about halloween! it is only a few weeks away! (and I need to figure out what to WEAR)

but I loved those cookies made with fried noodles and then mixed in with chocolate - ya know what I mean

Oh yeah. My mom still makes those all the time. They are the best snack ever.

Haystacks! I've been tempted to make them for my dad, since the recipes I find involve butterscotch and butterscotch makes me gag, but he loves it.

My old boss did a version of them with crushed potato chips and pretzel sticks instead of chinese noodles. Sooooo delicious!

There was this lady who lived across the road, she was really old when I was little, and every year she made the best, fudgiest, most wonderful brownies ever. I have never been able to replicate them, and unfortunately, I don't think she's in this world anymore, so I can't ask her for her recipe. I am so sad about people not making homemade goodies anymore.

I would love to bake something instead of spending a fortune on teeny-tiny little chocolate bars.

I used this recipe (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/best-ever-popcorn-balls/detail.aspx) when I made popcorn balls for both my house's Halloween party and my boyfriend & wife's Halloween party. They went so quick and are super tasty.

To warn you, they're kind of labor intensive - and I would follow the advice of one of the commenters of using a measuring cup as a mold.
