You shouldn't need a hammer & nail for a coconut - one of the eyes is soft enough to jab a steak knife in, & once you drain it, just put it in a plastic bag & smash it against the sidewalk once or twice :D

Ooh, that sounds fun :) I actually am not sure how my husband did it... I think he poked a hole (with the nail and hammer?) and then smashed it on the sidewalk. I let him do it, but now I'm wishing I had taken advantage of the moment to rage, lol.

It is LOADS of fun, & really awesome if you're having a bad day (just don't huck it at the sidewalk too often - I did in the middle of winter & come spring I found about a quarter of the coconut that I didn't realize was missing XD)

I know this is probably stupid...but what can you do with infused vodkas? Are they flavored just for comsumption, or is there another use? Sorry if I'm being daft!!

Definitely not stupid! I've been meaning to use some of the leftover boozy berries and make a sauce for desserts, but I have yet to get to that. But, with my Bloody Mary Vodka Infusion, I made a vodka sauce for pasta that I cooked down for an hour, and my whole family liked it. I guess that's still for consumption, lol.
