Gram (chickpea) Flour Recipes

Oct 05, 2009 22:04

I bought a 5lb bag of Gram (chickpea) Flour to make Baked Dhal & Rice Snacks, which only call for 4-9 tbsp.

Any other suggestions for 5lbs of Gram (chickpea) Flour?

In the past, I have used it to make chickpea-flour pancakes, which I served with curry -- wrap the curry up in the cakes and nosh away!

I think I got the recipe from this:

These sweet potato "falafels" are really tasty: http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2009/01/sweet-potato-falafel-with-yogurt-tahini.html

Chickpea flour is also used a lot in gluten-free baking. So if you like experimenting with baked goods, there are tons of recipes out there.

Make farinata! I bought chickpea flour for that, but haven't had the time to try it yet. Looks yummy though.
