Menu For Hope III
If you read a lot of food blogs, you're no doubt aware of the Menu For Hope III campaign that launched today. Food bloggers worldwide have solicited and/or donated all kinds of wonderful food packages, tours, gift certificates, services, books, exclusive tickets, and equipment to raise money for the United Nations World Food Programme. My blog Bon Appegeek, for instance, is offering a pasta maker package that includes a brand new Atlas Marcato 150 Italian pasta maker, a pastry brush, stainless steel pasta serving forks, and a pastry crimper (ships to U.S., Canada, and APO/FPO only due to weight). In addition to many material prizes, there's a huge array of truly unique and very personal food prizes offered. Accomplished bakers will bake cookies, chefs are giving chocolate-tasting tours, cooks are roasting custom coffee bean blends, photographers are offering framed fine photography, home cooks are putting together authentic starter food packages for difficult ethnic cuisines, and much much more.
