Canned beans

My challenge to you all:

Take a can of pork and beans and dress it up!

I put onions, carrots, potatoes, turmeric and salt and pepper into it, and it was fantastic!

Or, to make "cheat chili", just add a few spoonsful of salsa and some jalapenos (if you like the heat).

Delicious!

ACK! No offense, but I wouldn't eat canned pork and beans no matter how it was dressed up. Pass!!!

I hope you find some good stuff though!

Salsa Beans is a regular feature of "Mexican night" at my place...

Intended to be served hot but good if chilled.

Rice with Salsa and Beans

2 cups dry rice, cooked
1 cup salsa
1 cup black beans (or baked beans in this case)
Optionally, add:

1 cup corn and enough extra salsa to make moist.

Ground beef, brown sugar, syrup, and a lil' honey. Oh, and about a tbsp of bbq sauce.

Season n' brown the ground beef, throw it in with all the other stuff. It's best if you bake them for about 20 minutes. Wahlah!

Or replace the hamburger meat with crumbled browned breakfast sausage and some chopped onion.
