Well, this is sad news! If that is your decision, just know you'll be missed.

But on the other hand, is it really necessary to make such an absolute statement? Why not just only read/post when you feel like it, and don't when you don't. Or make your LJ friends-only or filtered.

Like Jason said, it can be a good way to keep in touch with people you find it hard to keep up with.
