you could have done better? WELL! its godo enough-- more that good enough. In fact, I enjoyed it tremendously, espcially I kept hoping that someone would rise to that challenge. Yours had just the sort of tone I liked -- the whole simple flowing sense of it, these little impressions of colour or things, marked at intervals by the repetition on forty-three more days. <3, dear. and now I must REALLY return to my essay, because its Far Too Late.

I forgot to say before but I really liked this. Exactly the kind of thing I was hoping someone would use the prompt for. Love the blink-and-you'll-miss-it hint at the end too.
I'm curious why you chose to keep the time constant instead of decreasing (counting down) though?
