Now I can't quite put my finger on, why this one worked for me, and indeed worked so very well, but it does.
My amazement comes from the fact that I loathe RPS (I thought) that I would never read it (I was convinced) and that it's a major squick for me (I would have sworn).
I have to re-adjust my strong opinions here, because this one, which I stumbled on - and read in fact - by utter coincidence, worked its magic and was brilliant. The voices seemed to be so true to reality, although, of course, I wouldn't have a clue how these people really are, nor that I'd ever try to find out.
However, this piece really was quite amazing and has me baffled and forced to stop saying that I don't like RPS, because I do, this one.
There was a time when RPS squicked me beyond all comprehension. I'm not sure when it went from disgust to mild acceptance to total devotion...but be careful, 'cause it's addictive. :) And, of course, thanks for the lovely compliments!
Nice. Very nice. And thank you so much for not making it even remotely slutty. It's all about feelings and nuances. I've never really been into Viggo/Sean - I'm Viggorli 'tenn ambar-metta - but I like this.
Very nice. Loved all the characterizations, especially Sean and Ian.
But Sean can’t be angry with Ian, no one can, because he’s like somebody’s very proper grandfather, only the kind who wears bright purple ties with matching pocket handkerchiefs to award shows and tells impossibly dirty jokes in that impossibly posh accent.
Great description of Ian. The description of Orlando was also very good. I like the image of him knocking over Hobbits and shrieking. :-)
Your Viggo was wonderful. Just. Everything. So good.

What is up with that, yo?! *g* And it's not just them, either. It's like a Boy Thing. Crazy.
Also, liked this. Very much. Fantastic first effort, darling.
