[The sphere turns on to show Misaki staring at it. She’s holding a hand up, not quite touching it.]This device... It certainly seems to fit in with the rest of this place. It’s just what I’d expect to see in a spaceship ( Read more... )

You picked a bad time to visit.

Is there ever a good time for something like this?

There's a better time. Unless lack of air doesn't bother you.

As far as we can tell, this is "really space."

[ and the fact you arrived in a room tells him a bit about where you likely are, since you're not suffering from an apparent breathing problem. ]

You're up against an insane Captain, a failing spaceship, and the unknown force responsible for bringing - and holding - us here.

I see. I never thought I'd actually go to space.

[Takes a moment to process that. Whoo, that's a shock to hear.] ...Thank you for telling me. That's... How is the ship failing?

Neither did I.

Ah, lately it's been the passenger levels cutting off heat and oxygen, then sealing shut. If you're in a room right now, you're probably on Level Twenty. The Suites are the only ones unaffected for now.

[ A pause; ]

It'd be wise to move off that level. You're free to find accommodations on your own, though there are several rooms left vacant here in the cabin, if you prefer.

Hm. I understand. That's a serious malfunction. Am I to understand all of the other rooms have lost their oxygen already?

Where is this cabin?

[Oh shi- It's good that when he was escaping from his room he decided to wear his Li clothing and just bring along his BK-201 equipment with the space suit. IT WOULD NOT BE GOOD IF SHE FOUND OUT ABOUT HIS OTHER PERSONALITY AFTER ALL. You know, him being a Contractor etc etc. Hurr hurrrr.]

... Kirihara-san?

contractorchase December 15 2008, 00:28:22 UTC
[And that would be bad. Seeing as she's on the NEVER ENDING QUEST TO FIND BK-201.]

Li-kun? How did you get here too?

I've been here for awhile now! There's no way off of the ship.

There isn't? ...Hm, if we are in space, I guess it would be rather difficult to go back to Earth.

Do you at least remember how you got here?

You have found yourself aboard a ship without destination! My Teacher, the great Katsuragi Yako, is already in the midst of examining this mystery!

Without a destination? [Sigh.] What kind of...

Is she? Has she found out anything yet?

solvethemystery December 15 2008, 12:52:37 UTC
Certainly! Ah, but you must forgive me- she has forbidden me from revealing too much regarding her investigation to the new arrivals!

That's understandable. Regardless, it's good to know someone is working on it.

It is space. And as far as I know, the stars are real... Is there any reason they wouldn't be?...

Reply

contractorchase December 15 2008, 23:18:09 UTC
Huh. It's strange.

The stars... Where I'm from the real stars aren't visible.

How is it strange?

I see... Why?

I hadn't expected to find myself in space.

They're covered by false stars.
