Chapter: 10/?
Synopsis: Neither one, Kouyou or Yuu really remembered them, but Shinji and Naoyuki still kept an eye on them when they had nothing else to do. Kouyou had lost his fairies when he turned ten because he no longer needed his magical fairies to help him. In other words, he had gotten too old and they had to be assigned to another child. The most they could do for Kouyou was watch him from afar and use limited magic to help him, but only in situations when he was in danger. He wasn’t in danger too often --at least not since Takashi’s memory was erased so he didn’t remember how he managed to break his arm, and Kouyou had no idea either.
“Oh Spiderman.” Kazamasa put his hand to his forehead dramatically, speaking in a monotone voice while Hiroto jumped around his bedroom with a can of silly string duct taped to his wrist. “Save me from Doctor Octopus.” God, he couldn’t believe he was spending his entire weekend at his boyfriends house playing Spiderman. He even agreed to go by the names of Mary Jane and MJ because Hiroto insisted they stayed in character the entire time. Kazamasa was now cursing himself for thinking it would be a good idea to give in to his smaller lover.
Hiroto whirled around at the mention of his name and held a hand up to his ear. “What’s that?!” He yelled in the manliest voice he could muster up. “MJ’s in trouble!” He bounced around the room spraying silly string all over the place before he finally landed in front of Kazamasa with his hands on his hips and his chest pressed out.
“Ahh, Doctor Octopus,” He glared down at the red toy octopus he once won at a festival. Even though the real Doctor Octopus wasn‘t exactly an octopus, Hiroto‘s stuffed octopus Octti was the only thing close enough. “I should have known it was you!”
“Hiro- I mean Spiderman, of course you knew! I told you it was him and you put him at my feet, remember?” Kazamasa scratched the back of his head.
“Kaza, shut up! If Doctor Octopus finds out I’m not the real Spiderman, he’ll kill me!” Hiroto whined, laughing nervously at the stuffed animal. “Now where was I? Oh yeah, Doctor Octopus, release my MJ or I’ll… make takoyaki out of you!”
“Oh, could you? I’m kind of hungry.” Kazamasa raised an eyebrow as Hiroto sighed.
“Kaza! Girl voice!” Hiroto shouted.
“Okay fine.” Kazamasa cleared his throat and stood up straight to speak in a cliché girl voice. “Oh~ could you~? I’m oh-so hungry and I would just love~ some takoyaki~!”
“Girls don’t sound like that!” Hiroto complained, kicking the toy octopus with so much force that it went flying across the room to land in a corner.
“How should I know what they sound like?! I’m a guy!” Kazamasa threw his hands up in the air after fighting with the red wig he was forced to put on in the first place. Hiroto insisted he dressed properly for his part, and that only meant one thing: Kazamasa had to wear a red wig, a tight top, a skirt, and heels. Kazamasa didn’t think he ever saw Mary Jane dressed like that, but he wasn’t going to argue with his psycho boyfriend.
“You see girls all the time at school! You should pay attention more often!”
“Well then you be Mary Jane!”
“That isn’t possible. I’m Spiderman by default!” Hiroto shook his head because he wasn’t going to be caught dead dressed as a girl.
“And why is that?” Kazamasa crossed his arms and tapped his foot on the floor, which was kind of hard to do without falling because he wasn’t used to standing in heels in the first place.
“I have the mask, duh~” Hiroto stuck his tongue out. As the holder of the holy Spiderman mask, he was Spiderman. No if, ands, or buts. “I was destined to play this part.”
“That makes no sense! Just because you have a mask-”
“Don’t ruin my dreams Kaza, I mean MJ. A man must follow his dreams if he wants to achieve happiness. Don’t take that away from me.”
“How many times did your mother drop you when you were a baby? There’s seriously something wrong with you.” The older boy leaned down to inspect his lover’s head as if any bruises would still be there. Actually he was looking for dents because there had to be one somewhere. What else would explain Hiroto’s strange behavior?
“She never dropped me~!” Hiroto swatted at Kazamasa’s hands. “Okay, she may have once, but that was only because the ice cream truck was coming down the street and my older brother and cousins wanted some, but they were way ahead of her, so she had to run, but she tripped over a rock and almost fell, but she caught herself, but she didn’t catch me when I went flying through the air, but It’s okay because I’m perfectly fine now.”
“And how old were you?”
“Six.” Hiroto nodded with a large smile.
“You still had your mom carrying you around when you were six? Are you kidding me?! Were you just lazy? Because I know you weren’t chubby and couldn’t move on your own.”
“Have you know my mother was just really protective of me.”
“Yeah, I don’t think she’s the right person to be protecting you. She gave you brain damage.” Kazamasa shook his head while Hiroto puffed his cheeks out angrily.
“I’ll give you brain damage!” Hiroto yelled, jumping up and tackling Kazamasa to the ground with his signature war cry that meant he was about to go wild at any moment.
“But I’m a lady! You can’t do this! The real Spiderman would be ashamed!”
“Not uh! The real Spiderman would say you’re mean and that you’re a horrible girl and you deserve to be beaten until you feel bad about being mean to me!”
“Heroes don’t say stuff like that!” Kazamasa yelled when Hiroto began pulling his hair. What a girly thing to do: cat fighting.
“It doesn’t matter now because I’m Venom not Spiderman!” Hiroto squealed, gritting his teeth when Kazamasa’s arms wrapped around his waist and changed their positions. “THIS ISN’T FAIR! You’re stronger than me!”
“That’s why I shouldn’t have to be the girl! Mary Jane isn’t stronger than Spiderman! You’re going about this all wrong!”
“No I’m not! I know everything! I’m Spiderman and you’re Mary Jane! You agreed.”
“I only agreed because I can’t say no to someone who is cute!”
“Then… then… I want a massage right now!” Hiroto glared up at his lover with an all-too-adorable look on his face that had the older boy smiling like an idiot.
“Oh okay, but I’m changing out of these ridiculous clothes first.” The older boy stood up and extended his hand for his lover, but Hiroto shook his head.
“I like the view from down here. You really don’t have to change if you want to just stand there for awhile.” He giggled to himself and winced when Kazamasa’s foot collided with his side.
“You’re such a pervert.”

“So what are you going to do?” Two boys were sitting in the back of a restaurant waiting for their food to arrive. It was rare for Kazuki to ever be caught outside after school on a date, let alone a date with another guy. As far as everyone knew he was completely straight and would never think twice about a guy, but just like everyone else Kazuki had his own secrets. But this date wasn’t just about impressing someone so they would like him. In his mind, he was already perfect and everyone liked him because everyone did with the exception of one person he knew for sure, but that little Shin was meaningless to him and he could honestly care less about him. Shin was the reason for this date.
Kazuki turned to his date who was looking up at him expecting an answer because, in all honesty, he was curious as to what the other boy had in store for the kid. Kazuki’s reputation was at stake. His confrontation with Shin in the locker room wasn’t executed too well because Kazuki didn’t think Yutaka would come back as soon as he had. Whether Yutaka knew what was going on or not, Kazuki knew Shin would tell him everything: how Kazuki was such a bad person, how he tortured Shin as a child, and how he wasn’t done with him just yet. Yutaka would make it known that Kazuki was nothing but a fake and show him for who he really was, but Yutaka didn’t know that he was a step ahead of him the entire time because if Yutaka said anything, which he would, Kazuki was just going to make Shin’s life that much more worse.
“I have a few things up my sleeve. Nothing you should be too worried about.” Kazuki spoke slyly, sliding his hand across the table to clasp another pale hand. He smile his best smile and tilted his head to the side almost as if he would appear innocent to anyone looking, but both boys knew he was anything but innocent. Kazuki did things most people wouldn’t do for fear of jail time, but he was never caught. If anything, he framed someone else so he looked just as cute and innocent as everyone thought he was, except his date who knew him better than anyone else.
“I never said I would worry.” Kazuki laughed quietly to himself, squeezing the hand in his own quickly before pulling his hand back when the waiter made his way toward their table. Their food was placed in front of them, and with a bow the waiter was gone.
“Manabu, I know you.” Kazuki pointed a chopstick across the table at the other boy. “I’ll go out to do what I plan to do, and you’ll sit at home trying to decide whether or not you’re going to text me to see if I’m okay, but you’ll decide not to because you don’t want to make me mad. In the end, you’ll spend the rest of the night worrying about me and you’ll call first thing in the morning. I know you better than you think I do.” He smiled sweetly when Manabu ducked his head to hide his blush.
“It’s not my fault I care.” The smaller boy mumbled quietly causing Kazuki to smirk.
“I should be used to it by now, yeah?”
“..Yeah.”

‘Why can’t he just shut up for once in his life?‘ Yuu was lying on his side in Kouyou’s bed while the blonde was talking animatedly to the simple-minded fairy seated on the floor. He wasn’t feeling well thanks to his lover’s uncontrollable hormones, and now all he wanted to do was sleep but that was pretty much impossible. With Shinji and Naoyuki around, Yuu couldn’t sleep because he had to pay attention to everything they said about that Isshi guy. Kouyou still didn’t want any part in their lame adventure unless he could dress up as some character from Den-O, but Naoyuki told him to stop acting stupid because the situation was serious. It didn’t seem like a serious matter to Yuu either, but in Fairy Land things were different. Fairies were strange creature so the smallest of things were serious to them, or so he came to believe. Why else would Naoyuki flip out over everything?
His throbbing head wasn’t very happy when Kouyou was talking a mile a minute about the one topic that got under Yuu’s skin more than anything else. If he felt up to it, Yuu would have whirled around and smacked his boyfriend upside the head in hopes that it would knock some sense into him, but he was too comfortable under the blankets to move even the slightest bit. Kouyou was important to him, yes, but Yuu just wanted him to go away at that moment so he could have some peace, or at least just let him go home. Shinji and Naoyuki could always explain things in the morning when he woke up, but Kouyou insisted they stayed since he was intrigued by Shinji’s strange antics. Yuu knew the younger fairy was going to be nothing but a bad influence, and he also knew Kouyou would be running around acting even more stupid than usual since he was feeling a lot better. But Yuu didn’t want to deal with Kouyou at the moment, nor did he feel like chasing him around.
He buried his face in his pillow and groaned as Kouyou leaned back against the headboard with a loud laugh that made pain shoot through Yuu’s head. God, he just wished Kouyou would stop laughing so loud and stop talking so loud. If Kouyou would just look over he would see just how much his boyfriend was suffering, but Kouyou was too busy talking about Kazuki this and Kazuki that, ‘he’s so pretty and everyone wants him’, and God did Yuu just want to scream on the top of his lungs. It didn’t matter if he knew Kouyou loved him. He hated it when he was forced to listen to Kouyou’s rant about another man who was clearly not worthy of anyone’s time. As far as Yuu was concerned, Kazuki was just a manwhore who had nothing better to do with his time besides play with people’s feelings. Yuu really didn’t know why his lover was so attracted to the other boy.
Kouyou’s hand was playing with the ends of his hair briefly before the hand was raking through his dark locks soothingly, lulling him into sleep. Sleep sounded more than lovely because maybe then his migraine would go away and he wouldn’t feel so miserable. It was nice until Kouyou realized what his hand was doing unconsciously. He hadn’t noticed just how tired Yuu was, not to mention sweaty. Yuu was curled into a ball beneath the blankets as if he were freezing, but he was sweating too much to be cold.
“I got you sick, didn’t I?” The blonde frowned when Yuu hummed softly in agony. God, even the sound of Kouyou’s voice when he was talking softly was hurting his head. All he wanted to do was fall asleep and somehow end up in his own room so he didn’t have to walk all the way back home, but he didn’t think Shinji and Naoyuki were able to grant wishes for him and he wasn’t going to ask Kouyou to wish for him.
“I feel horrible. Is there anything I can get for you?” Kouyou moved the dark hair out of Yuu’s face and put his hand over his forehead only to realize Yuu’s head was beyond warm. When Yuu shook his head and squeezed his eyes shut, the blonde bit his lip and looked down at his hands because he knew Yuu was miserable and it was all his fault.
“I’ll call your mom and tell her you’re staying with me tonight. You can’t walk home like this, so you just get some sleep and I’ll go make something for you to eat in a little bit… if you’re feeling like you want to eat, that is.” He turned his attention to the fairy sitting on the floor and pouted once more.
“It’s all my fault he’s sick, y’know.” The fairy nodded because Shinji knew for a fact it was Kouyou’s fault. He knew everything without being told.
“He needs his rest. We’ll be back sometime tomorrow to talk to you. Think about what Nao’s been saying and take care of Yuu. Remember-”
“The fate of Fairy Land is in my hands. I know.” Kouyou waved his hand around and rolled his eyes. “I know. I’ll see you two tomorrow.” And the two fairies were gone.
Kouyou slid beneath the blankets and pulled Yuu into his arms, letting him rest his head on his chest. “I’m sorry, Yuu. If you need anything just let me know and I’ll get it.”
“You could stop talking. That would be nice.” Yuu mumbled, snuggling closer to the blonde’s body while his hand gripped Kouyou’s loose night shirt. Kouyou childishly moved his hand across his mouth as if he were zipping it shut and throwing away the key before his arm wound around Yuu’s body once more. “And it’s not your fault I’m sick. It’s mine as well.”

“Could I get you anything?” Akira looked in the direction of a waiter standing behind the counter in Starbucks. After he spent time with Takanori at the Matsumoto house, Akira had decided to relax at the coffee shop for awhile in hopes of unwinding. Don’t get him wrong, he loved Takanori to death, but sometimes he just needed some time to himself. The two of them spent almost ninety percent of their time together, and Akira was a person who at least wanted some alone time. Sometimes Takanori was so clingy that it literally drove Akira nuts, but he could never tell his smaller lover that he wanted some time apart. Takanori would take it the wrong way and the end result would be more trouble than it was worth.
The waiter smiled, cleaning off the counter top with a rag as he glanced up at the new customer. He knew him, of course he did. Akira was a kid often seen walking around the halls at school because he didn’t feel like going to class, or he would leave his class because he ‘needed to use the restroom’. Everyone knew Akira because of his signature noseband.
“One Peppermint Mocha, please.” Akira took a seat as the waiter moved around behind the counter with expertise. He ran his fingers over the table top and bit his bottom lip, a habit he had developed when he was younger. Whenever he felt shy or he was around people he didn’t really know, he would always pull his bottom lip into his mouth. If he were with someone else who was more social, Akira was never shy.
“So what brings you here today?” The blonde’s head snapped up as he heard the other man’s voice. Akira smiled shyly as the waiter smiled again. It seemed as if the man only knew how to smile.
“I needed time away from my boyfriend.” Akira answered softly. Admitting he needed to get away from Takanori almost made him feel like he were a bad boyfriend or something.
“Takanori, right?” The waiter picked up the blonde’s order and carried it around the counter to designated table. “We have English together.” He added when he noticed Akira confused expression.
“And you are?” Akira questioned as his drink was placed in front of him.
“Hara Toshimasa.” The mentioned boy smiled a toothy smile and bowed slightly. “I’m surprised you didn’t already know that. After all, I am rather popular among the boys at school, and most of the girls hate me. Sometimes it’s hard to be this beautiful all the time.”
“That’s right, you’re just like Kazuki, aren’t you?” Akira took a sip of his drink and cocked his head to the side when Toshimasa scoffed.
“I’m nothing like that asshole.” The dark-haired boy crossed his arms over his chest and leaned his weight on one side. “Kazuki just toys with people. He thinks he’s so perfect and beautiful, he’s nothing compared to me. I guess you could say he’s the typical playboy.”
“Then what are you?” Toshimasa was known to go through guys one after the other, but he never did it for the popularity. Kazuki just liked to play with people because he wanted everyone. Toshimasa just couldn’t find someone to suit him, but he tried his best to maintain a healthy relationship. It was so hard to find someone who didn’t just want him for his good looks.
“I’m not a playboy.” Toshimasa glared. “I just… can’t find the right person. Kazuki is just so…”
“Obnoxious? Annoying? That’s how Taka describes him.”
“He’s so competitive! He thinks I’m competing to date more people than him. I guess he’s too stupid to realize I’m not into all the girls he’s supposedly dating. But I know a thing or two about him that would totally ruin his reputation.” Toshimasa grinned as he turned to walk to the counter again. “Don’t worry about paying for that, by the way. It’s on me.” He smiled over his shoulder and went back to cleaning.
A/N: I stayed up untl 5 AM to write this. ^^; I'm sorry if there were any errors.
As far as the characters go, Kazuki and Toshimasa will be mentioned a lot more. Toshimasa looks like
this in this chapter, in case you wondered how he looked.
